By booking a telehealth consultation with Selfcaremen, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions:
1. Nature of Telehealth Services
Your consultation will be conducted via secure video or phone call with a registered New Zealand doctor.
Telehealth is suitable for many health issues, but it may not replace a physical examination when clinically required. If necessary, you may be advised to seek an in-person assessment.
2. Eligibility and Accuracy
You confirm that you are located in New Zealand at the time of your consultation.
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current health information to ensure safe and effective care.
3. Privacy and Confidentiality
All consultations are private and confidential and follow the principles outlined in the Health Information Privacy Code.
Your information will be securely stored and only shared with other healthcare providers when required for your ongoing care (with your consent, unless legally required).
4. Consultation Fees
Payment is required at the time of booking.
All fees are listed clearly on our website. Additional charges (e.g., for prescriptions or lab tests) will be discussed with you during the consultation if applicable.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee or may not be eligible for a refund.
5. Prescriptions and Follow-Up
Prescriptions, where appropriate, are issued at the discretion of the consulting doctor.
Ongoing treatments such as testosterone therapy require regular follow-up and bloodwork to ensure continued safety and effectiveness.
You are responsible for booking your follow-up appointments as advised.
6. Limitations and Emergencies
Telehealth is not suitable for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe pain, or any other urgent health issue, please call 111 or visit your nearest emergency department.
SelfcareMen does not provide 24/7 services. Our team will respond to inquiries during regular business hours.
7. Consent
By booking your appointment, you consent to receiving healthcare services via telehealth and understand the risks and benefits associated with this mode of care.
8. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Please note, our online transaction and admin service takes 5% of every payment. Therefore any refund or cancellation charged 5% of the service price for cancellation or 10% for not showing up.
9. Use of Ai Clinical Scribing Software
As part of our commitment to providing efficient and high-quality care, our doctors may use a secure, AI-powered clinical scribing tool (Heidi Health) during your consultation. This tool assists in generating accurate medical notes and documentation, allowing our clinicians to focus more on your care during the session.
By attending a consultation, you consent to the use of this software unless you advise otherwise. If you do not wish for your consultation to involve the use of Heidi Health, please inform your doctor or a member of our administrative staff prior to the commencement of your consultation.
We respect your privacy, and all data captured and processed through this tool is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable New Zealand health information standards.
10. By joining Selfcaremen, you agree we may contact you with information about your appointments, treatments, and other men’s health services that could support your health needs and overall wellbeing. You can opt out at any time.
